Monster Hunter is most definitely my favorite multiplayer game series of all time, even only having it for the PSP. I'm wondering if any of you have had the chance to play any of these games, and whether or not you liked them. And if you haven't, the exact reason i'm making this post is to share a game i think you'd enjoy for quite some time. Just to give you guys that don't really know about it some background info, here's a short description:

Japan's most successful PSP title, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, is heading to the west. Renamed Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, this latest installment in the epic Monster Hunter series delivers over 500 hours of gameplay spanning some 400 missions. Using the Ad-Hoc connection players can adventure with up to three friends for a savaging multiplayer hunting party. From devising strategies to executing the attack, players will need to work together in order to hunt down the ferocious beasts and progress through the wide range of quests on offer. Players will be rewarded for their use of the deep fighting combat systems, encouraging them to seek out the more experienced hunters and team up in order to learn from their experience. Even in single player mode Hunters won't be alone thanks to the introduction of the new AI feature, Felyne Comrades. Accompanying players on quests your furry ally will helping them battle monsters and gather extra resources. There are five new monsters to the game waiting to challenge gamers in battle. These include the Nargacuga, who inhabits the old forest and attacks at lightning speed, the Lavasioth, a lava-breathing reptile who hides in volcanic areas and the Hypnocatrice, a bird-like monster that wards off hunters with its unique ability to produce sleeping gas.

And this video just gives you an idea of how the majority of the game works, though the commentary isn't completely great:

All i aim for is the spreading of such a great game, due to the fact that it's not that widely renowned in the West. I hope you guys check it out sometime, and enjoy it as much as i do. Happy hunting Smile
Why the hell wont they ever release their fucking games on good platforms?
Capcom? They've released one on almost every platform :/ For Monster Hunter at least. Though the PSP didn't hinder the fun at all, it was actually perfect because the game was mobile making it so much more fun.
>Capcom
I hate them...
Even if by some miracle Capcom ported monster hunter to PC, they'd use Games for Windows Live or some other shitty drm
Isn't it for the wii?
If so, I have it.

Unless monster hunter 3 is from a different series...

Yeah, it's from dead rising

Monster Hunter Tri is for the Wii, i have it too and i think it's the one that least reflects the greatness of the series. Plus, they do have one on the PC called Monster Hunter Frontier and it's not what you said haha. It's quite the large MMO, i just wish i could play it but i believe it's only in Japan :/ and screw learning another language.

I have heard about those Marvel vs. Capcom games. My friend had it but got bored of it in about two days

Personally, I have never owned one of there games except for that "smurf village" game for the Ipod. I deleted it 5 minutes later.

Stupid as shit

>no more megaman after milking it to death; fire Inafune and piss on his legacy
>Street fighter x tekken has 12 characters of dlc on disc
>release 3 editions of all their fighting games instead of just making the new content dlc
>Resident evil is now gears of war
>Clover shut down, all their IPs will never be used again aside from a shitty Okami sequel for the DS
>New DmC looks like ass

Should I go on?
I'm not a fan of those arcade fighting games, so i don't judge Capcom off of them just because i don't like that style. Companies make shitty games, but that doesn't mean they aren't capable of making good ones (I.E. the whole COD franchise was golden in it's early years and is now total shit, but it was still good before). Monster Hunter is a clear example of a company pulling something genius out of their ass, climbing to one of the top-selling titles in Japan and getting high up on the ranks in the US with the small community that knows about it.
