Meh minecraft is still fun for me
Big servers are definitely dead. The game itself is still fun if you play with a bunch of friends and run your own server.

The game is just so full of people who want to destroy others' creations that it's pointless to join a public server.

Still up to that massive porn platform I suggested a while ago?
If u ask me, its getting better, because all new stuff is making the game more interesting and fun especially to new players. I'm also nostalgic and i miss alpha days very much, i play alpha world generator worlds in smp and shit, but u cant say that example: jungles didn't make u happy? I mean new minecraft is going further than alpha and beta, but also getting better and more interesting if u ask me.
As long as notch keeps his filthy fat fingers off of jebs work, we will see more improvement.
Now...if we turned the creative server into a survival no-plugin server...
It would be much more natural, and probably be more fun. No stupid plugins to spoil you.

Minecraft isn't dying as much as the server is dying. If every server weren't so plugin based, it would be more fun.
And if they never fixed that double minecart booster bug...
In a coma.

The server is dying, very slowly.
Minecraft isn't dead, read: servers that reap in $20k + a month in donations.
It appears dead because you guys are bored of it and the server isn't as popular as it was in alpha.
I agree with PC, Notch routinley fucked up the game, Jeb has actually done a good job of *improving* things.
I believe it is dead. Most of the updates have been a bit to much. It ruined some of it. I hope it dies soon, then i can get the source code and add in Aether and a bunch of cool things notch missed.
Tongue char5
those plugins mods and updates have done the damage.now a new user has to search too much in order to find a 'pure natural server' .its way beyond what it was meant to be in the first place...unfortunately.but still it has a lot of staff to give.dont forget that most of the players dont give a shit about the graphics or the sound in-game.they just want to progress and create something no matter what.its all about profit.yeah thats it.many see that this game is gaining speed at the sector of innovation game market.so they are trying to get as many buyers as they can by making the game more competitive.of course its getting tedious
