LOL! You'd pay that much for fakes?
I've done a direct comparison between some beats headphones and my own headphones and i have to say, the £20 headphones sound far better for most things, unless you enjoy listening to music in a tin can. If those have worse quality than beats then i think is rather boil my head than use them.

Also, after succumbing to a slightly different variant of a plastic producing company (razer) and seeing the damage 3 days of gamers caused on the alienware gear at the gadget show live, ill never buy prebuilt gaming stuff. To sum up:

Beats, Alienware, Razer:
Looks good and is awesome when you first get it out the box. However, tat awesomeness lasts as long as it takes to start them up, their cheap tacky plastic outer shells covering for their rubbish quality.

As an audiophile and a music producer who has spent more than too much time trying to find the perfect headphones for production, I can vouche for this completely.

Dr Dre's Beats boost the bass (around 20Hz - 100 Hz (20Hz is sub-level bass (the lowest frequency of bass the human ear can hear))) so much that the monitors can't handle it.

After extended use, one will notice that the lower frequencies will begin to muddle the sound of the mid frequencies (250Hz - 4,500Hz approx.).

Essentially, what I'm saying is, if you want some Dr Dre Beats, just head any pair of headphones (headphones, not earphones; There is a difference) and boost the bass with an equalizer. Done.

EDIT: They also boost the highs way too much. For simplicity's sake, I've opened Reason 5 and made a visual example with an equalizer of the different between flat (un-boosted) headphones and Dr Dre Beats.

Regular Headphones vs Dr Dre Beats (Unaltered and altered, respectively)

The simple equalization I used for the bass in my song Business 'n Shit.

As you can see, when someone produces electronic music they try to get a clear, crisp, and perfect sound. If I'm boosting 80Hz+ for the bass as it is, why the fuck would I want that to be boosted even more? It would just muddle the sound and fuck up the whole song.

It's for this reason a lot of hip-hop producers nowadays (example, Wiz Khalifa's songs have very low (and by low I don't mean filthy or dirty, just low in decibels, low sound) make the bass in their songs be much lower in volume.

So, this is why I'm convinced every person who uses Beats is just some kind of drone being controlled by shitty pop-filterless bass popping in their ears.

Firstly, an alienware is better than any other computer I have and secondly the beats I found online are just as good as the real ones, just a tad bit lower sound quality and many different colors (Chrome, Lamborghini ect.) If you have any other ideas on what i should ask for for graduation, be my guest (has to be something decent unlike a slice of toast)

I changed your poll, because none of the options were anywhere near logical to spend money on. No shit an Alienware is better than any computer you have, you could say that for just about any prebuilt if you're looking for a new rig. If you want to waste your money for a cheap product, then fuck it, buy an Alienware piece of overpriced, underpowered literal shit. But if you're smart, you would do a little research, and buy your parts seperately, which would both save you money, and give you more power. Alienware is nothing more than a thin plastic case with cheap LEDs with most stock parts and description lacking specificity on what actual parts are in the case. I can't say much for audio, besides that Orcworm is getting all pissy at the guy who actually produces music. Tongue

Ok. I decided i'm not going to get beats, but I will still search for headphones for my laptop (earbuds stay with my iPod).
Starting with these headphones [Image: 41NLPPkoSdL._SL500_AA300_.jpg]

EDIT: A little on the expensive side (about as much as the fake beats)
I shall resume searching for my headphones and create the best PC gaming setup ever (probably notWacko)
Uhh, V-Moda... I have them, and they're great. Only thing they lack is that they leak sound so much. I play it on medium volume on my iPhone and the whole room can hear it faintly. I have a pair of Beats Pro as well, but I like the V-Moda better. They have excellent sound quality. They're meant for DJing I guess becuase Avicii practically endorses them. I have used them to DJ once or twice and sound is great and the noise canceling is good as well. Plus they aren't so pricy for decent headphones.

I just found out that I'm getting a brand new pair of beats for $30....lol.
