The problem with building a desktop is it requires several days, maybe weeks, to do and several trips to an electronics store. And honestly I want a laptop.

I don't have the funds for an alienware.

Asus or the HP Pavilion I was talking about. Both good specs. I'm pretty sure with the HP, you get no lag in Battlefield 3, so transfer that to minecraft and you're good to go!

I'd still go with ASUS on this one.
HP has always been the wannabe IBM when it comes to computers.
hell, i have the dv6, and the dv7 as far as i can tell is the same goddamn thing with a different case and "better" beats audio, which the beats audio alone probably adds $100 to the laptop price.

Dude I'ma be honest that audio is really REALLY good. I've used a laptop that was marketed by Dr. Dre (the company, ofc), and the soundcard was soooo goood.

I don't know which model it is, but there is an ASUS laptop that is made do have a great sound system. My friend has got it and, dude, the speakers on that thing... Just sooooo good. It's got an amazing sound card, man. Listening to 5.1 movies with that thing, jeeeeesus.

Thing is, I don't rely much on the laptop soundcard. I have a huge ass stereo for sound, and a limited budget for a new laptop. I had already been looking at the dv6, and I think that's what I'll go with. Thanks guys Big Grin
