Does anyone know a cheap/easy way to resurface and/or fix a lightly scratched disk? Gamestop completely fucked me over a while back when i bought Skyrim for $50 and they sent me a disk that's unreadable and when i went in to see if they could do something about it they say they couldn't. It pisses me off that i have $50 of my money sitting as a compact disk in my room. Any suggestions?
pirate it
But, if you don't wanna do that,

you're fucked.

It's for Xbox, though my PC may be able to run it. Do you think it will run fine if i'm capable of running Fallout: New Vegas smoothly?
Probably, although it's more graphic intensive. What's your graphics card?
Get it on the steam sale. It's like 50% or something I believe.

Or you can just pick up Oblivion for like $5 because it is a better game.

So pretty much it copied Fallout exactly. Fallout 3 was better than NV.

Fallout NV = Fallout 3.5
If you liked Fallout 3, you should enjoy NV because it's pretty much a giant expansion pack.
And I honestly think Oblivion is nothing special.

I did like NV, a lot. I love Fallout. But i just thought Fallout 3 was more interesting because it had more to do with the actual story, and contained more historical value being placed in Washington D.C. Also, seeing D.C. in ruins impacted me more having been there before and made it seem all the more realistic when it comes to a nuclear holocaust. It seemed as if NV was just, "Okay, they know the story of what happened, now let's just give them stuff to do within it". Which wasn't bad, it just wasn't as interesting to me as Fallout 3 was. Also Fallout 3 was my first Fallout game, and i began playing it not knowing at all what to expect. Dat Springvale School.....
Seeing as I live in the DC area, it was pretty cool playing Fallout 3, but it was too depressing to be fun for me.

I have a disc cleaning kit that usually does the trick, depends on how scratched your disc is
Honestly, just torrent it. You purchased a copy of it, ya know?
I think of it this way:

Microsoft -> XBox
Microsoft -> Games for Windows

You shouldn't feel bad morally about it, ya know?

The disk honestly doesn't look as if it's in that bad of condition. Like i brought out my old Gamecube the other day and i have discs that are scratched to HELL but still work. It must be something wrong with the actual disk, i really don't know. But yeah, i don't feel morally bad about torrenting anything, i do it quite a bit XD

I was going to do Fallout 3 again, it wasn't working, so I had to settle on a 2nd playthrough of NV...And yea, i've been to Washingotn D.C., but I played it before I had been there, so now, judging off what you said, this mkaes me want to play 3 more...I might buy the GOTY edition for Fallout 3 if it comes with all the expansions...Either that or MGS HD Collection. And I think a lot more people got into Fallout because of 3..
