Ok, so I just downloaded Slender to try it out and, despite my smexy new computer, I'm getting 4ish FPS. Many of my other games work fine, and slender isn't even that big of a file. Fix ma shiz.

I think the game has graphics settings, try lowering them.

With the computer he bought it shouldn't matter ^

Maybe allocate more memory then?

Unless the download link is from the website itself, I wouldn't trust it. (http://slendergame.com/)
But I had this problem too (though my computer is a piece of crap)
Though this will make it a bit less scary (But closer to the original version, and it isn't as hard[I can't even find 2 pages with it on]), just go to OPTIONS and turn OFF the FOG. Once you turn off the fog, the game SHOULD stop being so laggy. Just saying, this worked for me, i'm not sure if it will do the same for you, but it worked for me.
