its been quite some time since ive played and i just downloaded minecraft on my new computer and its 1.6.4 need some guidance its been a while thanks guys

hi long time no see
well follow these steps and you will be fine:
1. start minecraft.exe
2. Now you see the launcher with play/logout/new profile/edit profile. Click Edit Profile on that page.( or you can make a new profile )
3. Now you should be seeing the profile info look for the sentence "Use verion" now click on that dropdownmenu from that line and select release 1.6.2
4. Click save profile
5. Enjoy minecraft
