Coming from the dark days of making pandora batteries to flash PSP firmware, custom ROMs and kernels seem much easier...

Anyway, I want to know what combos you guys are using / what you've found works best, if there's anyone other than me that is.

I'm getting the Exhibit II, which runs 2.3.5 gingerbread(I believe).

I've got the Nexus S 4G, rooted with the stock kernel. Apparently I'm going to be getting ICS soon, so I'm pretty happy.

I was thinking of getting the xperia play (I thinks that's how it's spelt) any thoughts about it?

I think orcs talking about messing with the software xD but if not then I have a Motorola xoom

I'd get the Galaxy Nexus and root it. It already has Ice Cream Sandwich unless I'm misinformed, and it's the latest and greatest. If you root anything, SetCPU is almost necessary for it. You can underclock or even lock the processor speed for most default OS's, and if you get a custom OS, usually you can overclock it too.
