Here in Germany, it is tradition to watch this video on the last day of the year:

Its a little, very old comedy act in black and white.

The story goes like this:
The old lady is Miss Sophy. It's her 90th birthday and she wants to have a big birthday dinner with her four best friends. Sadly, all of them deceased long ago. Still, Miss Sophy does not want to break with the tradition, so her butler James has to act the roles of her four friends and has to drink what they would usualy drink.
You can imagine that when drinking for four people at once, you get drunk pretty fast.
And that is just what is happening.
