Minecraft 1.1 has finally updated and has added and fixed a few things

Added things:

Eggs: you can spawn animals in creative mode using eggs. The only thing you cant spawn are dragons.

Apples actually fall from destroying leaves which means no plugin is needed anymore

Languages: You can select any language you prefer. the language can be simply English or for the occasional German or for those who want to make their lives more exciting, Pirate.

World type options: Currently you can only choose super-flat or default

There is now a new way to craft a golden apple using golden nuggets

Sheep can now eat grass to regrow their wool

Bow Enchantments

Fixed things:

Reduced brewing time to 20 seconds

you cant stand on ladders nor can you run face first into them from the side (this sucks for parkour maps)

Slightly smoothed color transitions between biomes

and that's about it

There also has been a leaked game mode for multiplayer http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Capture_the_Flag

minecraft is soon to be call of craft
