Hey!
I am on the server as we speak. I am loosing health spasmodicly. And no, im not starved.
Im on full health too. And from time to time, my health will go down 2. I dont think I have been poisoned , as I haven't taken any potions or eaten rotten meat.
I dont think this has anything to do with it, but I live underwater/underground and rarely go up to the surface, as everything I need is in my base.
UPDATE:
It also happens when I hold down the jump button. Even on flat land, where there are no drops il still loose health.
Do you think its something to do with my base? It has 2 lava walls and 2 water walls.
Also:
In my base my chest on the water wall keeps opening and closing occasional without me opening it, there are no players about to my knowledge .

if you are really pale, the sun can do damage to you, try putting on some sunscreen.

On Topic:
If you have a bed in your base, and you slept in it while it breaks, bumping into any walls causes damage. That could be it.
