to be fair your laptop doesnt have word or powerpoint, maybe it's missing more software it had before the virus

It was restored to factory default that's why it came without microsoft office.

You probably need XNA 4.0 Distributable then, if you reformatted your laptop.

If your plan is to make this into aproper game then I have a suggestion. Add a boss every time you destroy the current wave. Like knuckles or rose. Hell even shadow and all the others, it'd be cool.

What I did with the previous version was each character was a wave. Some more powerful than others. I may release the game with no bosses and then add some in the end. I would have to do some AI and such, but it would be cool. =)

I used sonic sprites mainly because of the game name. Also it was sonic, due to the fact that the sprites for him were super easy to get, as well as easy to work with.

Updated everyone! all power ups work! Time stop should work now, there are levels, as well as score! Still no lives, due to testing. But i will make lives count soon! Let me know what you think about it!
