Tears for Fears

I'm like monstaboi here. I like pretty much anything, however I like some country and about half of rap(as long as the track behind the rap is interesting and could almost stand alone).
@naka, if you want a good piano tribute group, look up vitamin piano series. Great group, an off chute of the massive vitamin string quartet.

you do realize monstercat doesn't make the music right?
Monstercat is basically a record label for dubstep producers.

Monstercat Media is a sort of underground 'publishing firm' (but it isn't a firm) for indie producers of electronic music.

Monstercat Media is owned by one man in Toronto who has been expanding the world of underground music for over a year now. He produced the Going Quantum podcast, which has reached over 45 episodes to date.

Monstercat Media doesn't so much TAKE IN producers as much as it PROMOTES producers.

If you are an electronic music producer, you can easily go to their website and send them some music, and they will contemplate 'publishing them' as "Monstercat Releases." I believe there are some prerequisites, however, such as your own website, and a dedicated twitter/FB account.

They've also been expanding their horizons by making partnerships with various Let's Players, the biggest example being the whole of Machinima Realm, as well as The Creatures (I mention The Creatures simply because they are like a sub-group within Realm).

Although I'm not a fan of the whole YouTube community treating the music as "YouTube music" instead of "indie producers," it's great to see so much support for the world of underground, DRM-free music.

PROMOTE THE FREE DISTRIBUTION OF MUSIC. FUCK DRM.

Not a 'record,' per se. Actually, not at all. And not exclusively dubstep, either.

Quote:definition of record label:
In the music industry, a record label is a brand and a trademark associated with the marketing of music recordings and music videos.
and yes he does do more than dubstep, but dub is what he "markets" most.
