Why Update? - grumpyguy528 - 01-11-2012 Don't you find it annoying when minecraft updates ? All my favourite servers go down for up to a month. And really come on what was actually added to the game in 1.0? With 1.1 coming out soon you really have to ask yourself ; is it worth it? Whats more notch said that in 1.0 minecraft would become stable aka no more updates and of course that isnt true. Please spread this so others can see. Final note (important) is minecraft a sandbox or RPG now? We do not shutdown the server for a single hour for that update. If/when the plugins are working, we will update the server. In other words, Do not update ur own minecraft untill it stays written on orcworm.co.uk "running minecraft version 1.1" or w/e... Only that the updates that do come out will be far more stable than the ones in the past. Basically updating to 1.0 was just to finally have a version which they could tell reviewers to review.
