So there will be other minor races?
For now we are just keeping it at four races for now so that we don't overload the amount of faction work we got going on, but if things go well we can expand the number of races we have available, Right now the blocks for expansion of races are in place but we aren't building yet.
We were talking about letting people make their own factions if they so choose to, but it would be recommended that you stick with one of the races
Not sure if this idea was terminated or not, might have to talk to Grint about that one.
Don't judge a book by it's cover and from what I can hear of what we can do with it it sound ok by me and if it works out you'll be surprised what we can do.
I've looked over it and the sheer complexity of the system gave me a headache....
Andrew, towny will not be used excessively. We were just planning on using it for a few sole purposes. For the longer explanation, just check the thread in general discussion. For the short explanation: We were planning on using it to have a "safe house" within the empire. Goods WILL NOT be stored in the safe house. This safe house will be used for item to item trading between the citizens of the empire. It will have chest shops. These chests will not have spawned items in them. They will be obtained and put in the chests for trading. No currency will be used.
Other uses are being discussed, but so far that is one of the main reasons for the use of towny.
Pretty much what frosty said, they have no major major bonuses, but obviously they'll give the power 4 a better chance.
So far we're on the terms that you can create your own faction if you don't like teaming with lots of people from different areas ;p.

You may want to ally one of the four races just for a bit of security. I imagine that if you make your own faction, it may be a little hard to get around with all of these huge empires.
Will the races have capital cities or bases or anything?
Yes, we were planning on having a main capital for the empire. So far it is planned that all ranks of the empire will be centered around this capital.
By empire we mean the race. We refer to empire as the race itself considering that there will be more that one rank within the race.
